Submission of Final Report By Vision 2020 Sub-Committee on Health.

The Honourable Camille Robinson-Regis, Minister of Planning and Development, on Wednesday 12th July 2006 received the final report from the Vision 2020 Sub-Committee on Health. The three-volume document, which constitutes the report, was handed over by Professor G. Norris Melville- Chairman, Sub-Committee on Health- to the minister at her Ministry of Planning and Development office. Dr. George Laquis-Vice Chairman, Sub-Committee on Health- was also in attendance.

Implementing Vision 2020 Ministry Signs US$330,000 Agreement with UNDP

The Ministry of Planning and Development, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, recently signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) granting the Ministry access to US$330,000 for the creation of a national socio-economic database, and the development of institutional capacity within the Ministry for more effective monitoring and evaluation of socio-economic conditions.
