The Multi-Sectoral Group (MSG) (also called the Vision 2020 Planning Committee) was asked by the Government of the Republic of T&T to lead the process of planning to develop a national strategy that would guide this country to becoming a developed nation by the year 2020. This 15-year Vision 2020 Draft National Strategic Plan is our response to this mandate.
The Draft National Strategic Plan comprises two (2) parts:
Part 1:
Outlines the aspirations of the people of Trinidad and Tobago within the context of specific priorities; and
Part 2:
Provides Frameworks for Action and represents the fusion of the contents of the Draft Strategic Plans of the Sub-Committees, the information gleaned from the public participatory process, as well as external expert reviews.
In fulfilling its mandate, the Planning Committee established twenty-eight (28) Sub-Committees to formulate draft strategic plans for key sectors. These Draft Strategic Plans are supporting documents to the Draft National Strategic Plan.
Copies of the Draft Strategic Plans of the Sub-Committees are available on Compact Disc at the Vision 2020 Secretariat, Ministry of Planning and Development.
